10 Tips for Optimizing Your Images for Search part 2
December 28, 2015Using heading tags properly
January 1, 2016A great SEO strategy is only as good as the title of your pages and their respective descriptions. A title tag tells users and search engines what the topic of your page is. In a search result, your title tag typically appears as the first line acting as the headline. Words in the title are bolded if they appear in the query and that is where understanding your keyword strategy becomes important. Knowing what users are searching for lets you make sure that those words appear and then bolded when results turned. The description Meta tag provides Google with a summary what the page is about. Your title is a few words but your description might be a couple of sentences. Google may use this description in your search results listing. So, it is a great opportunity to entice the user to click. I say Google may use it, only because they also might use a snippet around relevant text from the content of your page as an alternate.
So, at the end of the day when you are looking at your title and description tag, the goal is to write it so that one your keyword pair is visibly apparent but not overstuffed and overdone and two that both your description and your link are enticing to the user to make the click.
