February 26, 2016The difference between Google plus personal profiles and business pages
March 2, 2016
If you are thinking about using Google plus or have just started using Google plus one of the questions that you may have is what is the difference between Google + and Facebook and Twitter and all of the other social networks and there is quite a few.
First of all Google + is linked with all of the other Google services so that includes Youtube , Google search, Google places. So as a business owner when you start using Google + you are setting up your brand on multiple different services which just increases your visibility and Google plus just really does a great job of catering to businesses.
Google plus users are interested in learning. I mentioned earlier in the course that Facebook users tend to be more interested in their close net social networks. There is a lot of private posting going on, photos being uploaded. Google plus users are interested in learning and exploring new things and as a business owner that is a perfect opportunity because you already have a user base that is interested in learning about new products and services so why not get the message out to those people right on Google plus.
There is more public post interaction on Google plus than on Facebook. Google plus users are posting publicly all over the place and as a business, you are going to be posting publicly. So, it is really beneficial to have a social network with the users already interested in interacting with those public posts. The same type of the posts that you are publishing as a business.
Google plus also allows for more creativity, especially than Twitter. I mentioned earlier that rich media appears beautifully on Google plus. Photos and videos just look amazing. On Twitter, for instance, you are limited to how much you can type in one post which when you are trying to explain a product or service than can be kind of limiting. On Google plus, you have free rain. You can post videos, you can post photos you can write as much text as you want. You can link to multiple links. You could even have your entire presence on Google plus because it allows for you to post so much content where on a social network like Twitter you are really limited.
Lastly, Google plus directly affects SEO. And if you are going to use Google plus for one reason as a business this should be it. Facebook and Twitter might have a slight effect on SEO when it comes to trending topics and that sort of stuff. But Google plus and Google search are owned by the same company when you post a status update to Google plus it is indexed in Google search results. When you verify your business you are going to showing up in Google as an official Google place with all of your contact information.
So, just from the SEO perspective, Google plus is a necessity these days for businesses that are looking to increase their online presence.
