March 4, 2016Google plus allows users to both profiles which are more geared towards individuals and business pages which are geared towards businesses and there are some key differences between profiles and pages which are important to understanding if you are going to use Google plus from a business perspective.
First of all, Google plus pages can represent company, brand, product or celebrity whereas a Google plus profile only represents an individual and needs to be the exact name of that individual. For a Google plus page, you can name your page whatever best represents your brand or organization.
Google plus pages can also be managed by multiple people and this is a huge feature for businesses. A lot of businesses are going to have multiple people that are managing their online presence and in order to do so properly you need to allow them access to get into your Google plus page and take a look at insights, post status updates, and Google plus allows you to have dozens of people manage your Google plus business page all at the same time.
A Google plus profile only allows the individual who owns it to manage that particular profile. Google plus pages feature custom reviews which are not available on Google plus profiles. This is a great feature as well because it allows your clients to go to your Google plus page and write a review for your product or service which hopefully will attract more users and create more interest in whatever services that your organization offers.
Google plus pages also allow for more contact and business location information. So as soon as you verify your business page when somebody searches for your business in Google search engine your organization will come up and its address, its phone number all that information will be front and center allowing your users easy access to contact you for more information.
Lastly, Google plus pages contain insights and statistics related to user interaction so you can see how many people are viewing you Google plus profile. How many people are interacting with your post and this will help you to better determine which type of content will be most effective in the future for marketing your product or service on Google plus.
