The periodic table of SEO success factors part 2
November 4, 2015The periodic table of SEO success factors part 4
November 10, 2015In the past two articles, I wrote about the generalities of the periodic table of SEO success factors. In this article, we go deeper on the table and I am going to explain the first column of the table which is content.
Content is extremely important. You’ll hear that over and over again when it comes SEO success. Of course, that’s why the Periodic Table Of SEO Success Factor begins with the content as the first column with the very first element being about content quality.
Get your content right, and you’ve created a strong foundation to support all of your other SEO efforts and you can also encourage all to read and share your content across the web.
Cq: Content Quality
The most important thing is whether you are producing quality content? For example, if you’re providing a service, do you only show information that can be found in hundreds of other websites or you have fresh content.
Do you provide a reason for people to spend more than a few seconds reading your pages and share your content on their social media profiles?
Do you add real value to your audience? And they will come again and again to your website to read your content.
These are just some of the questions to ask yourself in assessing whether you’re providing quality content.
Cr: Content Research or Keyword Research
One of the most important SEO factors after creating content is good keyword research. There are different tools that allow you to find the specific ways that people may be searching for your content and find it for good reason.
You have to create content using those keywords, the actual search terms people are using, so you can produce content that effectively show up when people are searching that keyword.
Cw: Content words or use of keywords
After doing your keyword research, have you actually used those words in your content? Or if you’ve already created some quality content before doing research, perhaps it’s time to revisit that material and do some editing.
The bottom line is that if you want your pages to be found for specific words, it’s a good idea to actually use those words in your copy.
Using the words naturally in your content helps to be in good shape for this keyword but you should avoid repeating your keyword excessively. You will perhaps be penalized for doing such a stuffing.
Just use common sense. Think about the words you want a page to be found for, the words you feel are relevant from your keyword research. Then use them naturally on the page.
