On-page optimization is making changes to the website or landing page to bring it in line with the SEO best practices. And these changes that we are going to make are to the structure of your website. And this really allows Google to get a clear picture of who you are and what you should rank for.
We will be looking at a sample site as our example. And I am only going to be walking you through a high-level on-page component because these are really the ones that have the biggest impact on your SEO. These include things like your title tag which is seen both to the user and Google. And here on this site, we can see our title that appears here in the top of the browser. We also look at the description tag that you are using which are invisible to the user when they are on your site but often used by Google when they display your search results.
I’ll also walk you through heading tags and common pitfalls that businesses make when implementing those on your site. Another on-page opportunity is the decision to use breadcrumbs which are an indication to the user to understand where they are on the site.
Another part of on page optimization is the decision to integrating sitemap which is basically a list of links that you provide to the search engine crawlers. On the page, optimization does provide the ability to modify your website. You’ll need a basic knowledge of HTML as we go through somebody’s concepts. But the techniques that we are discussing are real to improve your rank when they are implemented properly.
